Mato Grosso Operation is a youth movement that was born in the late 60s.
Through the free work of volunteers, it supports socio-educational initiatives active in Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and Brazil.
In rural areas or in the suburbs of large metropolises, the Omg works in favor of the less well-off, with professional schools, art institutes, artisan cooperatives, and also, free hospitals, reception facilities for the elderly and orphanages. With children and young people, through games and work camps, the volunteers try to convey the charitable spirit that has always characterized the life of the Salesian Don Ugo De Censi, founder of the movement. Over 100 expeditions, dozens of schools and reception centers, more than 400 sculptors and carpenters currently in the association. All with very high costs incurred both by the work in Italy of the Omg, and by benefactors, entrepreneurs and friends who support with donations.
