The bodies are always equipped with a sub-frame that matches to the chassis cabs frame, consequently the fitting operation is quite simple. It is necessary a crane to lift the body and after having placed the body on the chassis cab is necessary only to tighten the connecting bolts and connect the electric cables to the switch of the inner lights.
- To produce a special body is it necessary to send the receiving chassis cab to Cold Car?
No, our technical department is able to produce the body only by having the technical drawing of the chassis cab with the indication of the brand, model and wheelbase.
- Are the eutectic bodies polluting?
During the delivery service the unit is not running consequently there are no polluting emissions, the refrigerating plant is studied in order to have high output during the recharging period so to have low electric consumption. The high insulating capacity of the body reduces the cold dispersion, and consequently the recharging period is shorter. Cold Car is very sensitive to ecology that is why there are important studies to improve the body from the ecologic point of view.

From a comparative study with blown air refrigerating units (like Carrier o Thermo King) we have learnt that the refrigerated bodies with eutectic plates need up to 60% less maintenance than the blown air type systems.
